FAQ

  • Do I need a consultation?
Consultations will be done on the day of your appointment or a virtual consultation can be booked in advance if you have questions or require more information on any procedures! Please call 613-237-9595 to book as consultations are not bookable online.
  • Should I get 0.5 or 1 ml for my lips?
This is down to personal preference and lip size/amount of previous filler. However, if this is your first treatment we recommend 1 ml. 0.5ml – Will give a VERY subtle look once swelling goes down. Recommended for nervous clients who are happy to be patient in waiting for their results. Please note this will double the time it takes to build them and is not cost effective. It could take 4-6 sessions to reach your desired shape, regardless of how natural you want them. 1ml – Recommended if it is your first time- you.may look a little swollen immediately after. Once this swelling goes down they will settle to be visibly more plumped and volumised. This is more cost effective as it should take no longer than 2-3 sessions to build your lips to the desired shape. 1.5ml – for a more glamorous appearance (not recommended for your first time).

  • Why AlumierMD chemical peels?
Most beneficial ingredients for the skin tend to degrade or denature when placed in the low pH of chemical peel formulas. With that scientific information in mind, AlumierMD peels use only the pure acids; antioxidants, anti-aging and brightening booster ingredients are applied post-peel in our Brightening Accelerator so all components remain effective. Peels remove the outer dead layers of the stratum corneum, so the booster ingredients are better absorbed when applied post-peel. Our multilayer process can be customized by your skin care professional according to your skin profile and concerns.
  • Why use the Anteage microneedling solution?
AnteAGE Microneedling Solution contains pro-healing, anti-inflammatory growth factors and cytokines derived from laboratory culture of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, the specialized cells that science has determined function as “command and control” of healing in all injured tissues. Hyaluronic acid provides lubrication and is a powerful humectant that promotes rapid re-hydration and volume enhancement within the upper layers of the skin. AnteAGE products contain no cells or cell remnants (they are removed during ultrafiltration, the final step in the laboratory culture process). At our clinic we use the Eclipse Micropen
